The Raleigh Chopper Sprint GT Mk2 (1972)

Uncovered after 53 years in a West London shed, this one owner from new bike found its way into my hands. Even retaining the first owners postcode engraved into the bottom bracket. This was part of the coded cycle scheme, which I am sure many of you will remember. Produced in Flamboyant Green and Fire Bronze (as seen here) for 1 year, 1972-1973. These bikes are exceptionally rare and this one is 95% complete. Totally original too! I will gradually be restoring this bike back to its former glory where it will remain 100% original. Just preserved. The sissy bar and cotter pins were seized solid as usual on these bikes. I have stripped it to a bare frame so far and even after a quick clean, it has come up so well! Now to polish the frame to give it a lovely shine. I will keep you posted!
