From an email to a one owner June 1970 Raleigh Chopper Mk1. This is the story of one of the greatest finds amongst Chopper Collector’s collection. Usually as fairy-tails go, they start from mystery. Well, in this instance, I received an email from a local about an old bike in their barn. It just turned out to be this totally original and untouched early Mk1 UTC (Up Turned Cleat). I swiftly purchased the bike from the owner and got it back to HQ, where I carefully examined what work needed doing to return it to its’ former glory. The bike looked as if it had just stood in tie. The chain guard decal, usually missing or torn, is in perfect shape, same for all the other decals. With gentle preservation, this will be one of the most original bikes left in existence.
