New Years Day Car Show at The Phoenix Inn 2023

This year, I decided to take my 1970 MK1 as last year I was on the 1975 MK2. For the damp road conditions and chilly weather, it was a fantastic turnout. There were many classics in attendance, especially from the 70s era which made the Chopper fit in really nicely. Even an almost identical yellow TVR Vixen S3 to park the bike next to for some cool photos. Particular favourites of mine were the Aston Martin DB5 Convertible. That is a locally owned car by a well known classic car dealer. Only 123 convertibles were made, making it exceptionally rare and expensive. These tend to hang around £1.5 million! You could get many Choppers for that. I also really liked the period Hillman Imp and matching Mini 95 Pickup. Both are very thin on the ground nowadays and looked so original. Perfect photo with the Chopper in the background. I think, for the first time ever, I was not the only Chopper owner at this show. By total surprise, they was a custom MK3 Chopper on the back of a custom VW Beetle. Very cool and all in, a fantastic way to start the year!
