Runnymede Car Meet December 2021
On a cold winters morning in December, I decided to take the Infra Red Mk2 out to the monthly Runnymede Pleasure Gardens classic car meet. It is always a good turn out as you can see! I usually park at the nature reserve and then cycle down by the river as it is very pretty and is cycle friendly. It does get muddy though and its a good job I had a mudflap extension fitted on the bike. That part is actually quite rare, which not many Choppers have fitted. It is a bit of a marmite look, but for a ‘rider’ bike it is very useful. As always, the Chopper attracted a lot of attention and looked particularly cool next to a period Vauxhall Firenza Droopsnoot. A car that is exceptionally rare. A very nice fan also wanted the Chopper next to his silver 2.8i Capri, very fitting too! For December, I’d say that was a great turnout; an Aston Martin DB6 Mk1 Saloon that the owner has had since the late 70s was another highlight for me. I was thinking if I could swap the Chopper for it!
