Wimbledon Southside Car Meet. October 2025

This is the second time I have taken a Chopper SE to Wimbledon Southside. Not the same one as last time in August however. That’s right, this is the concours restored example and as the saying goes ‘use it or lose it’. Pictured first next to my good friends Audi Quattro 10V. He has owned that car some years and it was first found in a barn! He is currently cleaning up a splendid November 70 Mk1 Chopper in Golden Yellow that I am helping out with. It will be very shiny when done to say the least. I also stumbled some vintage Honda Cubs. Not often are there bikes at this show, so it was very nice to see. My favourite of the show however would have to be the Mk1 Escort Mexico. What a car and in stunning condition. I also really struggled to walk away from the gold BMW 3.0CSi E9. You don’t see many and in that colour too! So 70s. With a lot of the owners, they also have a big interest in Raleigh Choppers and classic bikes. My friend Peter can be seen smiling at me from his perfect Mercedes-Benz 280SE as well as the Mk1 Mexico owners!
