Wimbledon Southside Car Meet. July 2025

On this months Southside, I take the 1986 Raleigh Mag Burner custom and find a lovely backdrop. A perfect VW Golf Citi Mk1 and a Renault 19 16V. They both made it look like the part of the street had transformed back to the early 90s. Just around the corner was a beautifully original VW Polo G40. Very rare car nowadays and looked very smart. There is almost always a very high 80s and 90s presence at Southside, but I will be totally honest with you, I was never expecting to see a Lancia 037 Stradale parked up beside a dull block of flats. Not to mention the value of that car, but the scarcity and it is a genuine example. Just unbelievable. There is known to be less than half a dozen of these in the UK and the owner of this one just casually drives it round London!
